Sustainability-and-‘human development’-related training

Overview

The production of sustainability-and-‘human development’-related training modules for a variety of societal and industry-based needs forms an important component of CIKI’s activities. These modules pertain to the following two broad groups:

  1. Sustainability: within the areas of cognitive advancement, and effective engagement in relation to the problems of unsustainability, and

  2. The facilitation of human development: in areas pertinent to efficiency and cognitive-creative flourishment.

Training modules are produced here with one motto in mind: effective knowledge should be accessible and affordable to wider society, both with respect to cost, and more importantly, time. Each module is capped at a length under one hour, and has the following characteristics:

  • it is designed to equip participants with effective knowledge on a vital area pertinent to sustainability or human development,

  • it is comprised of 5-10 components, where each component runs for 5-10 minutes,

  • it is comprised of merely necessary contents, which are direct to the point,

  • contents are presented in plain language by use of a direct tone, and

  • it concludes with an interactive exercise, where knowledge obtained is reinforced in a fun and engaging way.

Besides, training sessions addressing specific topics either in relation to sustainability, or human development, or a combination of these themes could also be organized in either group-based or personalized modes. The following details could be noted in that respect:

  • Problem/situation: Common problems for group training, or unique situations in the case of personalized training

  • Relating to: Sustainability, human development, or combination

  • Mode of analysis: ‘Problem/situation’-specific, comprehensive analysis

  • Nature of training: Solution-driven, tailored training

  • Conductor: Dr A. M. M. Maruf Hossain
